For my first release under Felis Umbra, I knew it had to at MINIMUM reference my baby Hamilton. Hamilton the kitten was such a loving, playful little cat and the fragrance itself needed to convey that feeling.
For Hamilton, a warm Bourbon Vanilla and Suede combo (as seen in such fragrances as Eau D'Ombre Leather by Tom Ford and Babycat by Yves Saint Laurent) was the perfect representation of how my time with Hamilton both made me feel, and a reflection of my personal favorite scent at the time, being Babycat. Hamilton sits nestled in this genre very well, being almost a "drier" vanilla scent than the aforementioned scents.
Once I mixed up a tester, and received the most compliments on anything I had made up until that point, I knew I had stumbled upon something special and had further, outside proof that it needed to be Hamilton's namesake scent.
For the AI-art render, I used several pictures I've taken of Hamilton and placed him infront of a warm fireplace; not too different from a particular video I have of him making biscuits in my beard infront of my fireplace.. one of my fondest memories.
Every time I smell this scent, i'm reminded of the special times I had with my baby boy who tragically passed away; I hope that this scent can evoke warm, happy memories for those who wear it as well.
